Views of a Rhinoceros sondaicus cow show on January 24, 1932 in Malaya. This specimen was sent to the British Museum. Arthur S. Vernay and Theodore Hubback tried to secure another for the American Museum of Natural History but were not able to find one.

This trip was undertaken by Arthur S. Stannard and Col. J.B. Dodge in Jan.-Feb. 1921, and was thought to be the first time that it had been done in its entirety.
